Film review - Intouchables

INTOUCHABLES

“Intouchables” is a film which takes place in France. It’s about an aristocrat called Phillipe who after a paragliding accident becomes a quadriplegic man. He decides to hire a young man called Driss to help him with his clothes and with everything, because he likes the way he treats him. He has a good sense of humor, though a bit cruel to Phillipe. However, they become really good friends and Driss helps his boss to woo a woman. When Driss leaves Phillipe after a long time, they still keep in contact with each other.

I really liked this film because I found it very funny and emotive. There are some good points in the movie, which make it quite interesting, and I like the fact that Phillipe wants Driss to treat him like a non-quadriplegic person. Driss doesn’t feel any compassion for him, what makes Phillipe assimilate his situation and move on.

I would recommend this film to everyone, teenagers and adults, because it’s a great film that shows the spirit of achievement of a person who doesn’t have the same facilities as the rest.

THE HUNGER GAMES

The Hunger Games is not a nostalgic drama, as I thought when I heard the title for the first time. It is based on the American author Suzanne Collins's best seller series with the same name. It is directed by Gary Ross and the main characters are performed by Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson.

The film takes place in the future nation Panem, and it is about some teenagers who are chosen by a totalitarian state called "Capitol", which manages each of the twelve poorer districts  that compose Panem. During the Hunger Games these 24 teenagers must participate in them fightinng until there is just one of them alive. The main character is a sixteen-year-old girl called Katniss Everdeen who is a volunteer as a "tribute" to save her sister's life, because the Capitol had chosen her before. However, Katniss gets in love with her district mate, Peeta, and that's why everything seems to be extremely confusing for her.

In my opinion, teenager would really enjoy this film because it includes drama, action and romance trames. In addition to that, it has an absolutely surprising ending.

 THE HUNGER GAMES

The last book I have read is The Hunger Games, it is the first book of a  trilogy. It is a science-fiction, action film ,based on the novel of the same name by Suzanne Collins. And starring by  Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Woody Harrelson, Elizabeth Banks, and Donald Sutherland.
The film is about 12 districts called Panem  and the Capitol   highly advanced metropolis, exercises political control over the rest of Panem ,every year the 12 differents   districs have to give  1 boy and  1 girl , in total 24 players of different ages  between  12 and 18 years, who have to  play the Hunger Games . The Hunger Games are  games that the Capitol created few years ago for the diffrents districs . The 24  players must fight to death until only one victor remains. However, after seventy-four years of Hunger Games, Katniss Everdeen, a girl of the distric 12 ,voluntered of the games, in lieu her sister and Peeta Mellark  a boy who is in love with her win the Hunger Games. With it they provocated the start of the war.
I liked  a lot this film , because I think that the scenary was very well done , and that the actors interpret so good their papers. However , I have read the book firstly and I think that the book was better than the movie , because there are some important thing that in the films dosn´t appear.
The part that I  liked more was when Katniss Everdeen, said that she wants to be voluntered of the games , in lieu her sister. And the part that I liked the least was the end because it is so confusing, and if you have not read the book you would not understand it .

In conclusion, I like the film but I think that the it can be better, and I hope that in the next film of the trilogy will be better.

Film Review

                                               The Hunger Games
The Hunger Games is a science-fiction, action and drama film released in March 2012, directed by Gary Ross and starring Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Woody Harrelson and Alexander Ludwig. It is based on a novel named in the same way.
The film is set in a dystopian future, where the United States of America have become Panem, a country divided on twelve districts and a Capitol who governs them. When these districts rose up against the Capitol and later beaten, The Hunger Games were created. They are a show where twenty-four boys and girls, called tributes, between ages 12 and 18, must fight to death until only one victor remains.
After seventy-four years of Hunger Games, Katniss Everdeen, a district 12 girl, volunteered to participate in this show when her sister is picked up in the reaping. Katniss thinks she is going to die, but she has seen death many times and she is a survivor. Moreover it appears in the story Peeta Mellark, the tribute boy of her district who is in love with her.
This is a good film, but I didn’t like it because I had already read the book, and there were a lot of details that didn’t appear on the film. I think if I had not read the book, I would have enjoyed the film more.
The cast of the film is really good: Lawrence was fantastic playing Katniss Everdeen, reflecting all the emotions that a person who thinks is going to die and kill somebody to survive would show, and always being faithful to her character on the novel, and Hutcherson did well for Peeta, but he doesn’t appear in the film as much as Peeta does in the novel.
The film's soundtrack is a bit bad, mainly, because there is no much. Many scenes of the movie required music, but it was decided not to do it.
The end of the movie was the part I liked the least because it was very confusing and it was difficult to understand what was going on. What is more, it very diiferent from the novel.
As The Hunger Games is a trilogy, I look forward to watch the next films, and I hope they are better than the first.
